Is Invisalign Right for Me?

Omaha NE Invisalign

Invisalign is the modern way to straighten your teeth and consists of a series of custom-made, clear aligners that straighten your teeth a little at a time until you have the smile you want. Making the decision to straighten your teeth as an aduly can be exciting, but also confusing.

To determine if Invisalign is right for you, ask yourself these questions...

What is your primary goal for treatment?
Have you been concerned about spacing between your teeth for either functional or cosmetic reasons? Do you get food caught between your teeth or does crowding make it hard to clean your teeth? Does calculus build up between your front teeth at your hygiene checkups? If so, alignment may be a more conservative treatment than facing the dentist's drill!

How flexible is your schedule when it comes to appointments?

Typically during treatment, your doctor will schedule appointments every 4-6 weeks. The appointments typically last about a half hour, but compliance is a must! Patients will wear a series of clear, removable orthodontic aligners that are adjusted as the teeth shift into place without metal or wires. A series of custom-made aligners are worn each for a period of two weeks, and each liner moves that teeth gradually into place.

Invisalign Omaha NEDo you have good hygiene now?
Invisalign aligners can be easily removed for brushing, flossing, and eating which means no food stuck in your braces and no avoiding hard-to-eat foods.

Do you have orthodontic insurance?

Invisalign costs about as much as traditional metal braces and is often covered by orthodontic insurance plans, even for adults!

How long do you want treatment to last?
The length of treatment depends on the severity of your case, and can only be determined by your doctor; however, the average case takes less than 12 months.
